We started this blog so we could document and keep in touch with family and friends about our family's biggest adventure. We are adopting a baby girl from Moscow, Russia. We feel so blesssed to have Nate and Aidan. They are such sweet, smart, fun kids. We always wanted a third child and things weren't going as planned. It felt like someone was missing, so we turned to adoption. International adoption felt like the right fit for our family.
We started the process in March of 2007 wanting to adopt a baby from China. However, the wait time kept growing. It went from 15 months to 31 months in a little over a year. We were told to expect a 3-4 year wait. Feeling very frustrated and looking for other options, we stumbled upon an agency that deals with Russia and couldn't be happier!
We are working on finishing our dossier to hopefully be sent to Russia by September. We are looking to travel in January or February for the first time. Brad and I will go to meet our "referral" and hopefully make a match. We will then come home for 4-6 weeks and spend lots of money on cute baby clothes!! Our second trip will again be just Brad and I for about one week. We come home for 10 days and have to turn around and go back. For the 3rd and final trip, Nate and Aidan will be going with us (we hope!) to bring their baby sister home!!!

Great blog! I'm so happy that you put this website together. It keeps those of us far away involved. Your future daughter will be hitting the family lottery. And as much as you will be giving her a home, she will be completing yours. We love you guys!!
This is awesome! A great way to keep your friends and family up to date! You know we wish you all the best and you guys deserve a beautiful baby girl to complete your family. Nate and Aidan will be great big brothers. Love you!
This website is wonderful! We really could not be any happier for all of you. A new baby girl to complete your family--What a great way to start 2009! Good luck with all the paperwork and arrangements to finalize everything and please know, we are always here for you and will help in any way !!
How wonderful for all of you. I can tell you (first hand) it can be very scarey at times, but in the end sooooo worth it. We will keep you, Brad & the boys in our prays for a safe journey. The hardest part will be only bringing one little girl home. May God Bless you & keep you in His Care.
Love the Oehrleins
