More about the Court Date

Ahhhhh! Deep breath :)

I had a feeling I might get a call today. Simply because my day was so busy. I chaperoned Nate's field trip this morning, had about 1 1/2 hours to run some errands and then had to take poor Aidan to the dentist to have two teeth pulled. He did fantastic! I did manage to get flights reserved for the court trip and pick-up trip. I'm giving it a day or two before I actual book them...our track record hasn't been the best. I also got hotel booked for the court trip. We will be staying at the Courtyard in case any of you will be there. I'm still in the research mode for where to stay for the pick-up trip. I'm not really a "rent an apartment kind of girl". I like hotels :) We do want some space, a good location and reasonable price. Am I asking for too much??? We'll take any advice you adoption vets have!

The boys are very excited! In 7 weeks they will have a little sister! We have decided not to take them with us for the pick-up trip as we had originally planned. Brad isn't so on board with the new plan :) He likes the idea of them going with us and experiencing all of this. So do I, but he doesn't think about the big and little details. Both boys said they don't even want to go. Nate has his spring concert (chorus and baritone) that he doesn't want to miss and Aidan is probably afraid of the food :)

We will have court on April 19th, come home for the 10 day wait and return home to be a family of five a couple days before Mother's Day! I think this may be my best Mother's Day yet :)

Happy 11 months, baby girl!!!

Hi Jeanette, Congrats on your court date! Looks like we may just miss each other. I'm looking into my reservations but most likely will be in Moscow on the 13-16th of April (court date on 4/15) and most likely will stay at the Courtyard if open. Let me know your dates and maybe our paths will cross!

AWESOME! ALMOST THERE...I agree about the boys staying home..its way too much on you guys. If you do the 3 trips, its fine and not too hard on the boys.

YEAH!!!!! Congrats!!! We stayed at the Marriott Grand on our pick up trip. Ask for the adoption discount, it makes it more reasonable! Grand has much bigger rooms than the Courtyard & the hotel's casual resturant is pretty good too!

So very happy for you all! We are a happy family of 5, just like you will be! Love it!

These are wonderful problems to contemplate... you've moved on to a new stage in the process...fun!

Good luck with the planning.

CONGRATULATIONS!! What a Mother's Day you will have! I am so happy for you all. Here's the name of the hotel we stayed at for our pick-up trip: Mamaison Pokrovka Moscow. We loved the hotel. Our room had a separate bedroom, living room a dining area and separate kitchen. It was spacious, clean and new (think it was built in 2006). The location is not great (a little far from most tourist attractions), but we didn't mind since we saw most of what we wanted to see on trip 1 & 2. It is located right next to the Visa office (which you or Brad will have to go to during that week). Hope we can get together when you return and get settled in.
