Flight there was pretty good. Grace did great first hour and a half, then got fidgety.
Mom mom and Pop-pop have a time share there! Free hotel :) My sister Denise came down for a few days.
Magic Kingdom was very fun! Grace did great with all the stimulation. Thankfully we had a special pass that allowed us to cut in line due to Grace's sensory issues. She never would have waited in long lines and it would have ended up being a battle everywhere. It was paper gold!!!!
Universal was our day with the boys only. We did Harry Potter which was great! The only not so great part was when the ride stopped for about 5 minutes with us leaning forward a bit. The Dr. Seuss area is adorable!!!!!! And great for young children. The water rapid ride there was great! Not one speck of any of us was dry! But I don't think all the other guests liked me walking around looking like I was in a wet t-shirt contest. Note to all of you... don't where a white tank top!
We had to leave early since Grace was not having a good day. She was very uncomfortable and anxious. Being in a strange place and having all of us leave, did not go over well. We wish we could have done more there, but I was too worried about Grace.
We did Animal Kingdom one day. Again our special pass was wonderful. The Lion KIng show was so good and we got to sit right up front with the stroller since we had a "stroller as wheelchair" sticker. Disney really accommodates everyone! The boys were disappointed in Kali River Rapids since they barely got wet :)
Sea World was hot, hot, hot! Great young kid area! By this time, Grace was starting to burn out. She was getting very whiny. I can't say I blame her. All the activity, heat, change of schedule, etc. Aquatica is Sea World's Water park. I don't have any pictures of that park. We had a great day though! Grace loves the water and really got into the water slides. The best part was that is wasn't crowded at all!!!
Epcot was a lot of fun. Got to do some great rides and had an awesome dinner in Mexico. We went into the park late so we could do dinner and fireworks. The other days, we kept them half days trying to accommodate Grace. The park was so pretty at night and cool finally! We had 90+ degree days all week.
We swam every afternoon and ate way too much ice cream :) Disney is so much fun, but I really don't recommend it for 2 year olds! The fact that the boys wanted to do big rides, meant that Grace and I had a lot of wait time or alone time. I look forward to going back.... in about 4 years!!!
On Monday, May 9th we celebrated our first Family Day!!!! I can't believe we have been home for one year! Time is flying!
Flight home... NIGHTMARE! Again, Grace did great for about an hour and half and then all hell broke loose! Screaming, hitting, biting, pouring lemonade all over herself on purpose. Not fun! I actually left the plane in tears!
Grace loved It's a Small World!
Ice cream with Aunt Denise at the hotel
Butter Beer at Harry Potter
Dancing at Downtown Disney
Tree of Life
Safari ride at Animal Kingdom. Grace loved it and got to see the giraffes up close.
The flowers and shrubs at Epcot are amazing. We were there during the flower show so they were even more beautiful that week.
We ate dinner at Mexico in Epcot. Delicious and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable time (translated: Grace was very well-behaved!) I look ginormous in this picture, but I have such fond memories that I will share it :)
Epcot at night... Beautiful!
Took some warming up, but Grace loved seeing Donald. She even slapped him five!

It looks like you did a whole lot in 1 week! Man am I jealous! I love Disney, I had Ava Grace there in December and she did great. I agree, much better when they are a little older. I didn't really like the Harry Potter ride did you? I thought it would be better and maybe not so scary, Trevor thought so also.
Wow, what an amazing time! I'm looking forward to taking Gracie when she is a bit older. Grace looks so tanned in these photos (and gorgeous!) We have only flown with Gracie once when she was 12months and not walking. She did great. But we are due to fly in September and I'm already anxious about it! Hope Grace is back to her normal self now :-)
Wow, it sure looks like you had a great trip! What a fabulous surprise for your kids! We are HUGE Disney fans. Now I really need to know how/where you got the "golden paper"! Lexi does not do lines well at all and it really limits what we can do as a family. On our last trip, it ended up Dad taking the boys and me staying with Lexi, which was okay, but I'm hoping when we do Disney in October, we can stay together a little more.
P.S. The Mexico restaurant at Epcot is our favorite too (and you look great!)
love the pic of you and the kids at epcot!! sorry you had such a stressful flight home. my trip was rather relaxing. ;-)
Wow! Reading this and seeing your pics makes me want to go there again. I'll have to tag along with a niece or nephew so that I can pretend it's for them. :)
What an awesome trip! I am so jealous - looks like such a fun time!
Sorry about the flight home - I can understand leaving a plane ride in tears - I am terrified to get on another plane with Clara. The last couple of flights were pure hell.
CONGRATS on your first family day - it has flown by!
