As we embark on this amazing journey, we are all so excited to meet our baby girl! However, due to an insensitive comment on my last post, we will be going private from here on out. I know I don't owe anyone an explanation, but I want to make it perfectly clear that our daughter's health is our main concern, not her ethnicity. There are very few people that even know our file with Russia stated we were interested in a caucasian girl. I've never posted about ethnicity. So, I have my suspicions.
We started our adoption journey with China 2 1/2 years ago. Clearly, we are more than comfortable with a child of a different background. Making things go "quicker" was not the reason for us including "eurasian" on our paperwork. It was done strictly out of wanting a better chance at a healthy child. We knew the baby that was meant for us would find us, whether caucasian or eurasian. We will be proud of our daughter's heritage and make sure SHE is proud!
I have gotten such support from so many of you and I truly appreciate your kind words. If you would like to continue to follow along, let me know and leave an email address.

Hi! I've been following your blog for some time now & am so excited for your family. We adopted Jill from Moscow (another happy Lighthouse family) last summer and share in your excitement to add a splash of pink to your home (we have two boys adopted from Russia & Kaz). Please let me know if you need an international cell phone. We bought it for our 2nd adoption in 2007 and used it for Jill's adoption last summer. I've also loaned it to two friends who've recently adopted from Moscow. It works great and the rates are very reasonable. As a bonus, Vlad's cell is already programmed in for you! Happy to send it your way if you feel it would be of value!

So sorry that you have been affected by negativity...though, that usually happens around happiness..so don't take it too personally..just focus on what is to come. GOD BLESS YOU!

Hey,
My sis-in-law got a really harsh comment on her blog recently also. It is so heartbreaking that people have such nastiness in them. She has decided to "screen" her comments before they post.
Please add me to your privacy settings. I look forward each time I see a post come through from you - hoping that your girl is soon coming to the USA.

We are so happy for you guys. I would love to follow your journey. We just returned from Moscow with our little boy whose birth mom is from Tajitistan. He is healthy and that was our number one priority too. That's what we stressed to Lighthouse from day one. Best of luck! I'm available at any time if you have questions.
Jeanette:
To think what we once talked about at preschool is now coming true. I am so happy for you and your family. I wish you the best as you continue on this wonderful journey to add a daughter to your already wonderful family. I would like to follow this journey of yours, so please add my email fab5soccer@verizon.net -- it has changed since preschool.
