Grasping At Straws

I saw a comment on a fellow blogger's blog. Someone had listed the below information about contacting the Minister of Foreign Affairs and expressing our disapproval of what the mother did to the little Russian boy and asking them to not shut down adoptions. I sent an email and used google translate to translate for me. I know we all feel so out of control of this situation, so this is something we can try. Who knows if it will help, but it is worth a try.

Hi - I saw Kristine's post and then your comment and realized you must be a family getting ready to go back over so I wanted to stop by and just say we'll be adding your family to our prayers - that everything goes smoothly and adoptions continue. With one son from Russia already - we are hoping to go back in the future and are very worried about the state of things. I'll be following along and praying for a smooth journey for you all. - Rachel

I have been thinking about you ! I am in shock over all of these events that have taken place over the past week. When we went for court the incident with Chase Harrison had just occured. There was so much outrage over this case it scared me too death! But as you know everything went well for us and time healed that wound for Russia. If only they could highlight all of the wonderful stories of Russian children that are so loed and cherished by their adoptive families. Unfortunately the media runs with the worst stories and it does a great deal of damage.
I am praying for you and your family.
