Totally Confused and Stressed

Now Fox News and some others are reporting that there is no suspension! Woo hoo! I'm still not packing until tomorrow night, though. I won't be happy until I'm sitting in the courtroom. This is one crazy rollercoaster! Now we have to worry about the volcano in Iceland that is erupting and causing flights to be cancelled! Can you believe that? If I can't get to court because of a volcano I may lose my mind! One day we will laugh, right?

Your title says it all! We're much farther back in the process but feeling the same way. Our dossier is somewhere wandering around Russia, waiting to be registered. My prayers are going up for y'all and every family trying to get their children home...

We just got home today from St. Petersburg with a "Positive" decision to adopt our daughter. Things are still going thru, we really didn't have a bad court hearing. We were told to be prepared for a long and intense hearing but it wasn't bad at all. In regards to the volcano, we had to wait about 1 hour on the runway before we could leave Frankfort, they are re-routing the planes a little south and it is causing a "air traffic jam" according to our pilot. We will keep you in our prayers, stay calm and all will be well.

Oh one day you will laugh! Some moms tell of crazy rides to the hospital, hours of labor with no drugs but not many can talk about a volcano!!!!
I am praying for you and all of the other families!

A volcano....seriously?? You're right, this all does seem like some cosmic joke!! (too bad its not funny, right?)

I'm a mess. I tried unsucessfully to hold it together until I got Dylan off to school this morning....feeling better now but this is torture.

I REALLY do think you'll make it to court and it will be sucessful! I'll be holding my breath for you.

After having adopted twice from Russia, I can tell you that my court experience was brutal with the second one, and honestly, the judge did not want to grant adoptions to the US, but had no reason not to. Labor without drugs probably would have been easier. I do know where you are, and hope that you find peace soon.

You will forget about all of this (even the volcano) when you see your little girl again. We are praying that Monday goes thru smoothly and that there are no more delays.

Volcanos and media and Torry Hansen - OH MY! (enter the Wizard of Oz tune here).

You, Shelly & Steve were the first people I thought of this morning. My head is spinning so fast I can't keep track of my thoughts!

Someone said there are 250 families in process (between trip 1 & 2) right now. Prayers to you all.

Just came across your blog. I adopted a girl from Moscow a little over a year ago. I will be praying your process does not get extended or delayed for any reason!

What a crazy news day! Glad to hear that the reports about the suspension are false. Start packing; don't put all that stress on yourself the night before you leave. After all that you have been through up to this very day, it will all become a distant memory. You will only relive it once in a while when someone asks you for specifics on your adoption experience. Otherwise, once you have your baby girl in your arms, you really will never look back at any of this. Have a safe trip, good luck w/court and enjoy your visit with your little girl.
