Brad had taken the whole day off, so they headed out to the pool. This was Grace's first real swim... suit, sunblock, swim diaper, hat and floatation device! She loves the water and Daddy! She is bonding beautifully now with both of us!
We were blessed with 2 healthy, beautiful sons. But someone was missing! We traveled to Moscow, Russia to bring home our baby girl and complete our family!

Great Report!
Grace had her appointment today with the IA Doctor and occupational therapist at CHOP. She got a great report! Overall, she is developmentally on target for a 13 month old. There are not the usual orphanage delays present. Not that we were worried :) There is no need for further visits or therapies! It was so good to hear and we couldn't be prouder of Grace. She is a very strong little girl! The doctor and therapist both felt that she must have been a favorite and received lots of one on one attention to be so on target today. That makes us feel good, but then I worry she misses that person :( She has gained 2 pounds since being home and is now in the 90% for weight and 95% for height!!!! I kept track of her eating the past 3 days to show them to make sure I wasn't overfeeding her. They were a little surprised at the WHOLE grilled cheese sandwich! But so far, I'm doing fine. The visit was fun and painless for her, UNTIL we got to the lab! They only allow one parent in the lab with her, so I sent Brad in! I didn't want to be the bad guy :) Only kidding! I did it because I knew I couldn't restrain her well enough. I had trouble with the ear check! After 8 vials of blood, she was done and all was forgotten. (At least Brad hopes so!)

You are blessed. God blesses some people with healthy easy babies! :)
Yeah, yeah, yeah!! Great news - you all are truly blessed!
such great news!!!
i'm sure you explained to the doctor that you make a mean grilled cheese.
Great news!! Boy, Brad is WHITE! Looks like Grace has a head start on the summer tan!
That is wonderful news!! She is so adorable and looks like she is enjoying the pool. Wow...90% and 95% - that is great!!! Our little guy is consistetly gaining weight since we have been home but he has a long way to go before he gets close to the top of the charts!
If you dice tomatoes really fine, add some bacon bits, and a touch of onion, Grace would eat *2* grilled cheese sammies. Seriously. They're delicious that way.
when are you adding your lil superstar on the LH welcome page?
You couldn't receive better news. It's such a relief receiving confirmation that everything is fine. You're lucky you don't have the stress of meal time. I would be grateful if Andrew would eat 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich. :)
JOY - thanks for sharing and it's so great to see her thrive (and then some)! Also, very glad to hear that she was so well taken care of by her caregivers-
Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Catherine
