"Moderately Excitable"

I'm too deliriously tired to type anything coherent, so I'll give you some bullet points.
Grace's Likes:
1. Juice, snacks, oatmeal
2. Teletubbies (I was desperate when Brad went to the passport office)
3. Hitting Mommy in the face. Yeah, good times.
4. Being dragged across bed. She crawls away, looks back and laughs as we drag her back to us.
5. Mommy and Daddy :)
6. Giving hugs and cuddles with cookie mush all over her face and hands.

Grace's Dislikes:
1. bathtime
2. milk, formula
3. Dr. Boris looking in her ears.
4. Dr. Boris measuring her head.
5. Dr. Boris yelling at her for crying.
6. Everything about Dr. Boris.
7. Dr. Boris telling her mommy and daddy to ignore her if she cries when she is tired or sick.

She is really adjusting well. Laughs all the time!!! She has only cried for Dr. Boris! We thought she was this mellow kid and couldn't understand why the database had her listed as "moderately excitable". We now know why :)

Just got word that Grace's visa may be ready today!!!! We COULD be coming home tomorrow!!!!

Loved your post - Grace looks so happy and healthy! We visited Dr. Boris this morning and had the same experience - Marina wasn't a fan. He called her a Drama Queen because she knows if she cries we pick her up!! So happy for you Jeanette!! Amazing Grace!!

She is adorable!!! Dislikes bath time....I know someone just like who STILL dislikes bath time...hopefully she will learn to like it quicker than Matt has!! Also, Matt did the hitting in the face alot too in the beginning but we nipped that in the bud pretty quick...he mostly did it when he was tired!! Great, great news that you are coming home early! How awesome is that!!!

She is SO beautiful!!! Such pretty eyes and hair!

My son wouldn't drink the milk or formula at first either. We were told kids there (Kaz for us, but Russia is likely the same) drink Kefir and not milk. It was explained to us as being "like liquid yogurt". For the first week or so we had to make our own weird drink for him. We would put a little container of yogurt in a bottle, add water and shake it up. Sounds gross, but he drank it up. We were just glad to be able to get something in him. We started adding formula to that after about a week and then just started making the bottles with more formula until we eventually didn't need the "yogurt drink" anymore. Of course while you are there you would be able to get kefir. It can be found in some areas of the US too.
